True Wine – Making fine wine tradable like stocks.
Fine wine takes years to mature. But when it is ready to drink, buying and selling it remains surprisingly difficult. Buyers struggle to verify authenticity and storage history. Owners face slow sales processes and high fees. One side wants what the other already has, yet the connection is fragmented and inefficient.
True Wine connects them through tokenized ownership of professionally stored wine. Each physical bottle is linked to a digital ownership token. Buyers can purchase wine, keep it in storage, resell it, or request delivery. Ownership can change without moving the bottle, reducing repeated shipping, handling, and disruption to storage conditions.
Bottle identification, condition documentation, and storage monitoring connect the physical wine to its digital record. Blockchain provides transferable ownership and a shared transaction history.
Our business model combines transaction and storage fees. We are starting with wineries and collectors, building the supply and infrastructure for a more accessible secondary wine market.
During Arbitrum Founder House Singapore, I completed the previously unfinished tokenization workflow and made it usable through the platform’s UI. I deployed the smart contracts to both the Arbitrum and Robinhood Chain testnets. This connects professionally stored bottles to transferable digital ownership tokens, laying the technical foundation for trading wine across platforms while the bottles remain in storage. The key outcome is a functional tokenization process that prepares stored wine for future marketplace integrations and ownership transfers beyond True Wine.
