MakmurTani (“Prosperous Farmer”) is a blockchain-based platform enabling Indonesian smallholder farmers to tokenize agricultural land, crops, and equipment as fractionalized Real-World Assets (RWAs)
The decentralized platform for small and medium agricultural producers to access financing by tokenizing their future harvests. The platform integrates reputation tracking, yield prediction using climate/soil data, and creates a marketplace for investors seeking exposure to agricultural RWAs while helping farmers obtain better financing terms than traditional lending.
How It Works
Farmer Onboarding & Reputation: Farmers register on the platform with identity verification and farm details. The existing TrustID contracts can be utilized to create verifiable credentials.
Harvest Tokenization: Farmers can tokenize a portion of their expected harvest, creating fungible tokens representing future crop value.
AI-Based Risk Assessment: Using climate data, soil conditions, and the farmer's track record (stored via the existing reputation system), the protocol estimates harvest probability and assigns a risk rating.
Investor Marketplace: Investors can purchase these tokens at a discount to expected value, effectively providing financing to farmers.
Yield Generation: When harvests are sold, proceeds are distributed to token holders, generating yield.
Insurance Backup: An optional insurance pool to protect against crop failures.
