Progress During Hackathon
During the hackathon, we focused on delivering a functional, end-to-end MVP rather than a conceptual prototype. We designed and implemented the core crypto-collateralized borrowing flow, built onchain loan lifecycle logic (collateral locking, borrowing, repayment, and release), implemented milestone-based and trustee-controlled disbursement workflows, integrated Mantle for low-fee and scalable execution, and developed a Web2-friendly frontend to simplify onboarding and borrowing. We also defined the architecture for the upcoming Earn feature, enabling users to deposit supported assets and earn real yield. The result is a working foundation that demonstrates HODL’s core value: turning crypto into usable, real-world liquidity without forcing users to sell their assets.
