<h3>GrantBot 🤖💸</h3><h4><em>AI-Powered Autonomous Payments for Open-Source Contributors</em></h4><p><strong>GrantBot</strong> is an autonomous payment agent that monitors GitHub repositories for merged Pull Requests and instantly pays contributors in USDC — without any manual approval, invoicing, or wallet popups.</p><h4>How It Works</h4><ol><li><p><strong>Maintainers register their repo</strong> and define payout rules (e.g., 5 USDC per merged PR, with a daily spending cap).</p></li><li><p><strong>MetaMask Smart Account delegation</strong> is granted once via ERC-7715 — giving GrantBot permission to spend within set limits, without ever holding the maintainer's private keys.</p></li><li><p>When a <strong>PR is merged</strong>, a GitHub webhook fires, and <strong>Venice AI</strong> reasons about the event — checking contributor eligibility, payout rules, and spending caps — then decides whether and how much to pay.</p></li><li><p>If approved, <strong>1Shot's Permissionless Relayer</strong> executes the USDC transfer on-chain via <strong>EIP-7710</strong>, with gas abstraction handled automatically — no signup, no pre-funded paymaster.</p></li><li><p>Contributors get paid <strong>within seconds of their PR being merged</strong> — fully autonomously.</p></li></ol><h4>Why It Matters</h4><p>Open-source maintainers want to reward contributors quickly, but manual payouts are slow, awkward, and often forgotten. <p>GrantBot is currently self-funded and built as part of the MetaMask Smart Accounts Kit x 1Shot API x Venice AI Dev Cook-Off hackathon. We are not currently raising external funding. If GrantBot gains traction with open-source maintainers post-hackathon, we would consider pre-seed funding to expand support for multi-chain payouts and additional automation features.</p>
