FairRound

FairRound lets crypto projects raise money through fair rounds: everyone filled in a round pays one clearing price, per-round caps get small buyers real fills, and 99% of the raise goes into a treasur

Description

FairRound: the on-chain IPO exchange for crypto projects. Own the price discovery.

The problem
Token launches have taught buyers to expect losing. Insiders get in cheap through presales, bots snipe the first blocks, whales take oversubscribed sales, and the raise sits in a wallet the team controls. Public token sales raised $2.9B in 2025 but only $58M in Q2 2026, the weakest quarter in five years. Buyers didn't quit crypto; they quit rigged launches.

Why existing launchpads fall short

  • Presale launchpads let insiders in first, and the raise goes to the team wallet.

  • Bonding curves (pump.fun style) reward the fastest, so bots win.

  • Uniswap auctions find a fair price, but bigger bids take the sale and the team keeps the raise.

  • MetaDAO protects the raise, and demand followed: one sale was 127× oversubscribed in July 2026. But buyers got under 1% of what they asked for, and it runs only on Solana.

FairRound is the only one that gets all four right: one price, small buyers filled, the raise protected, and holders able to remove the team.

The solution
Crypto projects list on FairRound the way companies go public, with five rules enforced by code:

  1. One clearing price per hourly round. Speed and gas give no edge.

  2. Small buyers filled: at most 150 units a round, over many rounds.

  3. 99% of the raise goes to the project treasury; 1% is the FairRound fee.

  4. Every treasury payment is a holder vote, with a 5-day delay and at most 5% per term.

  5. At 50% sold, holders elect the project lead, and can recall them.

What is live

  • 7 contracts on Arbitrum One, all source-verified on Arbiscan, Sourcify and Blockscout, owned by a 48-hour timelock.

  • 10 demo listings run real hourly rounds, from The Chosen One (1 unit) to Xerxes' Host (300,000 units).

  • A step-by-step guide bar walks every investor through it: connect a wallet, verify, claim 1,000 free UNRIG, and bid.

  • 134 contract tests and a 29-check deploy rehearsal pass. Every admin power is disclosed on the site, in English and Georgian.

  • 29 users in the first week of outreach.

Business model
1% of every winning bid, paid out of the raise, plus 1% of every treasury sale for the project's whole life. We earn only when launches work.

Next

  • Real-money bids (ETH/USDC).

  • Each project's own token.

  • Liquidity at close.

  • Permissionless listing.

  • A third-party audit before the first real launch.

What changed:

  • Slogan and category: both now open the text.

  • New competitors section: it matches slide 3 of your pitch and gallery image 2.

  • MetaDAO buyers' share: changed from "under 5%" to "under 1%", to match your pitch video and the gallery image.

  • What is live: I added the guide bar, the two languages, and the 29 users.

Progress During Hackathon

Progress during the buildathon Where we started: Sakartvelo Exchange, a simulation of privatizing a country on-chain. It ran live on Arbitrum One with virtual state companies, hourly auctions and shareholder votes. What we built during the buildathon: Pivoted after mentor feedback. The same fair-auction engine became FairRound, the on-chain IPO exchange for crypto projects. We dropped the privatization story and aimed at a real market: token launches. Rebuilt the contracts (V9). RoundAuction, Governance, Treasury, Dividends and a new open verifier now handle: one clearing price per hourly round; 150-unit caps per round; a holder-controlled treasury with a 5% cap per term; election and recall of the project lead. Hardened security. An internal security review found and fixed 22 issues before any user joined. 134 automated contract tests run against Arbitrum’s real gas and size limits. A 29-check deploy rehearsal passed before going to mainnet. Deployed to Arbitrum One. 7 contracts, all source-verified on Arbiscan, Sourcify and Blockscout. Every admin power is handed to a 48-hour timelock. 10 demo listings run live hourly rounds. Launched UNRIG. It’s a commitment credit for testing: 1,000 free per verified wallet. It can’t be sent wallet to wallet, so there’s no flipping or sniping. Redesigned the site at fairround.xyz. A step-by-step guide bar: connect, verify, claim, bid. Trust badges linked to Arbiscan. A live round ticket. Full English and Georgian versions. Went to market. Brand, marketing kit, launch-team and investor decks, Product and GTM canvases. A 2-minute demo video and the 3-minute pitch. First outreach brought 29 users in the first week. Two lines here come from your own security review document rather than from today’s work. Check them before you submit: “22 issues”: your review lists findings 1 to 22. If some of those were fixed before the buildathon started, change it to “found and fixed security issues”, with no number. “134 automated contract tests”: this is the count from that document.

Fundraising Status

Self-funded, with no outside capital raised so far. Everything to date was built by the founder: contract development, the mainnet deployment, the site and the research. Running costs are minimal, because Arbitrum gas is under a cent per transaction and the site is on Vercel. Not raising yet. We want proof before capital. The next milestones are: A first real launch partner: one Arbitrum project raising through FairRound, with holder protection. A third-party audit before any real money goes through the contracts. Real-money bids in ETH or USDC. Open to: Arbitrum ecosystem grants. Audit sponsorship. Conversations with launch teams and early backers who want a fair-launch standard on Arbitrum.
