Job Summary
We are seeking a highly capable and motivated IT Support Specialist to provide reliable technical assistance to our internal staff and customers. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance of hardware, software, and network systems, maintaining data security, and supporting continuous improvement of IT operations.
The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, demonstrates strong problem-solving skills, and contributes to increased productivity by keeping IT systems running efficiently and securely.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day IT support to staff and customers, resolving technical issues promptly and effectively
- Consult with IT managers and cross-functional departments to identify and address technical needs
- Install, configure, update, and maintain hardware, software, and operating systems
- Monitor hardware, software, and system performance metrics to ensure optimal functionality
- Troubleshoot and resolve logged system errors within agreed service levels
- Train end-users on hardware functionality and software applications
- Perform hardware upgrades and recommend IT equipment improvements
- Maintain databases and ensure data integrity, backup, and system security
- Document IT processes, procedures, and troubleshooting steps
- Conduct diagnostic tests to identify system issues and prevent future incidents
- Stay up to date with emerging technologies, tools, and trends in IT support
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- 3–5 years of proven experience as an IT Support Specialist or similar role
- Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software, operating systems, and networks
- Proficiency in IT helpdesk and ticketing systems (e.g., Freshservice, SysAid)
- Experience in documenting technical processes and monitoring performance metrics
- Advanced understanding of database maintenance and system security best practices
- Demonstrated ability to assess IT needs and train end-users effectively
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to adapt quickly and keep pace with technological innovation
